They look at each other after jokes, seeking brotherly approval, supporting each other like the Captain backed Tenielle. It's this kind of lighthearted closeness that has kept the band alive for years, through numerous personnel changes and outside projects. But it's also a bit of a front. In fact, all joking aside, the brothers seem to have discovered a new-found (gasp!) maturity. With a new band and, in Jeff's case, a new baby, Redd Kross seem to have grown up a bit-and recorded a more direct, less kitschy album in the process.
